Artist statement Moonlight

Moonlight is a ceramic vessel that explores organic form and the quiet drama of asymmetry.
It is inspired by natural erosions and geological formations. The surface of the hand-built form transitions from deep umber to earthy ochre, evoking landscapes scorched by time and elements.
The opening, carved and fractured, suggests tension between enclosure and openness. The narrowed base draws the form upward. Defying stability, the piece considers balance not as stillness, but as an active force.
Through this work, I aim to express the tactile memory of the earth, the quiet persistence of form, and the beauty that arises when structure and spontaneity meet.
